Ah, another lost Leeds landmark. I used to travel regularly between Leeds and London. One evening I sat on the bus in Wellington Street and then got off it again and paid for a full price ticket on the train the following morning. I think it was the thought of another 20 minute stop at Leicester Forest services that finished me off. Helen

One of the great ironies in modern transportation is that buses–once the choice of the poor– are now much more spacious and comfortable than airplanes–once the choice of the rich. A plane seat is barely wide enough to fit into. A bus seat is plush, reclines and is roomy. Too funny.
